Description of content: The proposed amendment seeks to:

  1. Establish and revise the maximum residue limits of pesticides in foods:

-      82 pesticides including glufosinate and so forth in sesame, pumpkin, etc.;

-      For nut seeds (coffee, peanuts, etc.) and tropical fruits (banana, mango, etc.) that             do not have MRL standard, a uniform standard of 0.01 mg/kg will be applied;

  1. Permit big-belly seahorse (Hippocampus abdominalis) to be used as raw material in   food with limited use;
  2. Classify echinoderms and tunicates as molluscs and deletes the exclusion of inshore            hagfish and marbled rockfish in the category of abyssal fish;
  3. Relocate the standard sugar content (Brix) for 100% extract of fruits and vegetables       used in beverages from its current position under Article 5. 18-1. 2) to Article 1.1,       "general Principle";
  4. Revise general testing method:

-      Revise the method for tetrodotoxin, paralytic shellfish poison and pesticide multi-          residues analysis;

-      Establish the test method for unapproved genetically modified wheat.
